Cinnamon Twig
Harvested from young branches of the cassia tree, Guìzhī (Cinnamon Twig) is a classic warming herb in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Unlike cinnamon bark, these slender twigs are less pungent but more gentle, making them ideal for warming the meridians, dispelling wind-cold, and regulating the flow of Qi and blood.
Traditionally included in TCM formulas to treat common colds, body aches, chills, and poor circulation, Guìzhī is particularly beneficial for individuals with cold hands and feet, low energy, or sensitivity to cold environments. It also supports digestive function and eases abdominal cramping, especially when combined with other warming herbs.
